London Games Festival 2016: a perfect opportunity to showcase and celebrate the Games industry’s huge cultural and economic impact.

WHO IS GAMES LONDON?

Games London is a groundbreaking new programme to support, grow and promote the games and interactive entertainment sector in the UK capital.

The programme is funded by the Mayor of London’s London Enterprise Panel (LEP) and delivered by Film London, the capital’s strategic agency for film and media, and UK games industry trade body The Association for UK Interactive Entertainment (Ukie).

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE FESTIVAL

Highlights from our planned activity include:
  • A new annual London Games Festival – with the first taking place in April 2016 – to showcase and celebrate the industry’s huge cultural and economic impact
  • A new international business-to-business networking event to attract top investment to the UK
  • Inbound and outbound trade missions to promote the tax relief and the sector overseas
  • A range of training and skills initiatives

WHERE TO FROM HERE

The three year programme will capitalise on the Video Games Tax Relief (VGTR), which was introduced in 2014. It will attract investment to the UK and help businesses based in London secure £35 million in investment revenue, as well as creating hundreds of jobs.
