The beginning of your adventure will revolve around wandering in your first environment. 

Embark on your journey gathering natural elements to craft your glider. With it, you will begin your exploration of the local cluster. As you explore it, you will acquire all the necessary technology and resources needed to upgrade your favorite floating island. 

With a sail, a rudder, and a helm, you now command your own destiny and it’s time to soar. 

Be cautious Traveler, for the elements can be unpredictable, and the sky may not always be a serene blue…

Your journey will not be without challenges. Some islands will be precious havens of peace, some will possess hidden knowledge, and others will be… corrupted by a dangerous parasitic fungi. It will be your duty to restore balance to this ecosystem.

Who knows? Perhaps it is on this island that you will settle and start fresh, alone or surrounded by your fellow travelers. Raise animals together, and start cultivating the land to cook delicious meals around the campfire. Windmills and a network of cables and pulleys will automate your machines and production! You can also fly into jetstreams to supercharge your crafting power and sailing speed with powerful gales, but be careful not to tear your sails apart!

Aloft is for everyone and there is always something to do. 

The game, in development for over two years, features multiple updates to its Steam demo, now at version 0.1.34y. The game, designed for both single and multiplayer, underwent a 2023 playtest for bug identification. The Astrolabe team is actively preparing for the 2024 Early Access release on Steam.
