The tenth annual London Games Festival’s Official Selection will feature its biggest game line-up yet this year – with nearly 60 games showcased and playable between Wednesday 2 April to Sunday 13 April.
The London Games Festival’s Official Selection – now in its fifth edition – champions new and innovative independent global games made in London across the UK. This year there are 57 games across 10 categories, with the first wave of titles announced today.
Highlights from the line-up include: Spirit of the North 2 which continues the Nordic-inspired adventure of its predecessor; The Electrifying Incident, a adorable bite-sized adventure from the creators of A Monster’s Expedition; Southfield which blends weird farming with silly physics; and Henry Halfhead a whimsical sandbox adventure where you control everyday objects to solve puzzles.
The International Innovators strands also gives focus to global games from studios hailing from Ireland, France, Sweden, USA, Australia, Poland, Portugal, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, China, Spain, Canada, Switzerland, France, Belgium and Denmark.
Many of the games from this international selection of titles will be playable at New Game Plus, a brand new boutique games expo that takes place on Thursday 3 April and Friday 4 April. Titles will also be featured in a dedicated Steam showcase – while select games included in the festival’s long-running Trafalgar Square Takeover.
London Games Festival is supported by the Mayor of London. It is delivered by Games London, an initiative from Film London, the capital’s screen industries agency.
