Fall Up is a 2.5D platform game where the player tricks their enemies to help them overcome obstacles.

To succeed, the player needs to lure and outsmart their enemies. This requires that they go dangerously close to the enemies while not allowing themselves to get hurt, creating a compelling risk and reward dynamic. Upon mastering the mechanics, the player feels unconquerable as desperate attempts by enemies to attack them constantly backfire.

The player has various moves that they can use to trick their enemies. Aside from the standard moves like jumping and dashing, the player can also perform many powerful moves. One of which is the “Leg Cannon”, a very powerful wall kick that launches the player like a cannonball. Another is the “Ball Warp”, where the player can throw a “Warp Ball” anywhere and teleport to it. These moves can be chained in many creative and unpredictable ways, allowing the player to express themselves through movement.

Fall Up is set on earth in the far future. It is a colorful, cute post-apocalyptic dystopia–full of cuddly creatures and cute robots that are trying to kill you. It is a world of contrasts and strange juxtapositions. The game follows Labi, a super cute robot bunny who reluctantly goes on a quest to defeat the all-powerful AI who is slowly destroying the world.
