Kitty Powers is BACK to lead London Games Festival’s Games Character Parade 2018

• Drag queen developer behind Kitty Powers’ Love Life returns to open and close cosplay parade through the centre of London

• Event takes place on 14 April covering iconic City locations

• Key closing event for Festival which takes place 5 to 15 April

The fabulous Kitty Powers, the drag queen game developer behind Kitty Powers’ Love Life and Kitty Powers’ Matchmaker, will once again be hosting key moments at the London Games Festival Character Parade on Saturday 14 April.

Powers will be starting the Parade at Guildhall, before joining the assembled cosplayers and games characters as they tour around St Paul’s and back to the Yard for a best drag costume competition.

The Parade is open to cosplayers of any experience level who want to join and is the closing event of the ten-day Festival of video games and interactive entertainment across the capital.

For more details and information on how to register as a parade participant, the timetable for the day or the route of the parade head to games.london/parade2018.

The day will also include lots of family-friendly, fun activities including costume making and game design workshops.

Cosplay (aka ‘costume play’) is a pop culture phenomenon that mixes fashion and fandom, with dedicated and skilled fans of movies, TV, games and anime creating accurate and eye-catching costumes in tribute to their favourite characters.

The London Games Festival Games Character Parade will focus solely on characters and icons from video games, potentially making it the biggest gathering of its type in the UK. Hundreds are expected to attend as part of the parade or as spectators along the route or at Guildhall Yard.
